They have good deals on fittings

After removing the stock fuel filter housing and all of the plumbing I went back to the only store open Parkrose Hardware. They couldn't match up the odd thread pitches in the and out of the stock filter and coming from the lift pump.

The goals was to eliminate the need to cut any stock fuel tubing with banjo fittings.

The stock fuel tubing coming from the lift pump to the diesel filter broke during removal. Remember to loosen the smaller fittings first when multiple fittings are stacked. I cut the tube flared the end and slide 5/8" fuel injection line over it.

The pre-filter input can be replaced with 1/2"NPT x 3/8 push lock hose barb pictured in the above on the left

Cummins Injector Manifold Return Vegetable OIl

The banjo bolt returning fuel to your stock diesel filter from the injectors is 8mm x 1.25 thread pitch.

*Or replace with this fitting on the right. I will be posting the part number from AHS soon*

If you go with the bolt make sure it does not cut off the fuel supply hole in the stock banjo bolt

Then purchase this tap 8mm x 1.25

Then this 1/4" NPT (National Pipe Thread) Plug and Tee

Drill through the plug with a 17/64" bit and tap.

Now take the banjo bolt / fitting you removed from the filter and install.

I searched high and low for an answer to the plug but the answer is the plug.

Here are some pics of drilling and tapping the bolt. Remember when tapping to cut for half a turn or so and back out a quarter turn then repeat. Your tapping that brass so it's easy.

Bored out

Rams

School has been canceled.

Ram project has slowed down, but it is speeding back up

I have collected 99% of the materials needed to complete the conversion.

Since last posting:
The L tank has been outfitted with the sending unit, and Hotfox

I taped where the hole was to be cut in order to protect the paint. Also coated the hole saw with grease to catch the metal shavings

Davco 382 bracket has been completed minus brushing

The Davco 382 is a huge filter my bracket barely allows the filter to fit.

Also fixed the cup holder problem the other day by breaking it when pushing down my french press

The stock cup holders are notorious for being to shallow and ejecting fluids at passengers. The bottom piece broke and fixed itself

Maybe tomorrow I will fix the other one. Works with medium sized drinks minus the handle as well.
